Note from Fr. Mike (from bulletin December 13 - Available by clicking here.)
Two former pastors of St. Patrick Church passed away in November— Father Ronald Sayes (Nov. 15), and Father Richard Rakoczy (Nov. 14). Please keep them in your prayers, that God will grant them a fitting reward for their service to our parish years ago, and to the Archdiocese of Detroit over so many years.
Divine Grace Parish Calendars for 2021 will be available after Christmas Weekend. Due to the Coronavirus, we have to limit or space out the number of “pass outs” in the churches.
Divine Grace Parish is making a significant change in our offering envelope distribution. Beginning with the New Year of 2021, you will receive a supply of envelopes at home by mail. Several batches will arrive with a two-month supply during the year. More of the special collection envelopes will be included. Each envelope will be preprinted with your name, address, and envelope number.

Here is this year’s Christmas Weekend Mass schedule:
- The Archdiocese of Detroit has asked that parishioners attend only one Mass Christmas weekend (December 24- 27). With the strict limits in place for social distancing, this will allow more people to be able to attend Mass in person. Remember, Archbishop Vigneron has extended the general dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass up to Ash Wednesday. Remember, too, that the crowds at Christmas Masses, especially Christmas Eve, are normally very large and packed in.
- I know that many people are hesitant to attend Mass in person nowadays, especially those in high-risk categories— and that is OK. If you feel safe in doing so, join your Divine Grace Parish faith family in celebrating Christmas.
- On Christmas Eve, the Family Mass is at 4:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Church in Carleton. Because of limited space, your ticket for entry will be to bring a child with you. All others are asked to attend one of the other Masses. Overflow will go the gym, where there will be a video screen and Communion will be distributed.
- Our Solemn Mass of Christmas Night will be at 10:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Church in Maybee.
- On Christmas morning, Mass is at 9:00 a.m. in Maybee and 11:00 a.m. in Carleton. There will be provisions for overflow in the gym at the 11:00 a.m. Mass.
