Baptisms
Families wishing to baptize their children at this church need to connect individually with Deacon Tracy and participate in a Baptismal Prep course. Please read this page and then fill out the form below to begin the process; you should receive a response within a week.
Adults seeking preparation for their own Baptism, please refer to our Becoming Catholic/OCIA page.
Those requesting a Baptism during a Mass must be registered, active members of Divine Grace Parish for at least the past six months. An active member of our parish is defined as: attending, praying, helping, donating, receiving sacraments, and connecting with others. We encourage all to use their personal gifts and talents to build up the Body of Christ in our parish throughout the year, recognizing that with the ever-changing seasons of life, this will look different from household to household. All are welcome to be active members.
Other families may choose to schedule a Catholic baptism with us outside of a Mass. Please understand there could be a wait of three months or more to get on the schedule. You will need a letter of permission from your own parish pastor. These baptisms are frequently performed by Deacon Tracy.
At least one Godparent must be a Confirmed, practicing Roman Catholic in good standing and at least 16 years old. A letter of suitability from at least one parish/pastor is required. (Here’s a form: Certificate of Eligibility for Godparents certificate of eligibility) If there are two Godparents, they must be one male and one female. Both need to be baptized Christians.
